Congradulations

I did think of building my own, however I decided the learning curve was just to big.

Bought a system to my specifications here, no charge for putting it together, thus I have someone to blame if it does not work. Intel 4 1.7 256 RDRAM, OK Sound card and Video. I want to do fair amount of video editing shortly and haven't yet decided what video and sound set up I will use.

SIer, I'll add my congratulations also. Raymond Duray (if I recall) suggested I do the same but am very reluctant. Nevertheless, for reasons I don't understand (!), I keep thinking about the possibility.

KayCee mentioned the learning curve issue which concerns me as well, plus the fact I am not especially mechanically adept.

Did you use some sort of printed guide (book?) or did you already know how to put it together from a course, watching others, etc.?

Any information appreciated.
