I got my figure from statements on his webpage. I disagree with the conclusion you make: "As such, Sufi's 80% assessment has more weight with me due to his "insider Muslim" status." I disagree because I have had little experience with this Sufi and know relatively little about him [although on his webpage it shows he has given impressive talks at established institions] and as a Sufi he may have reason to over-estimate Wahabi influence. On the other hand, I have decades of experience reading the Times, so it is more credible to me. I did not place the Times article in feel good category, I assumed it was based on solid reporting. While 25% may be alot of people as you say and so they can cause much damage, it is better than 80% and so I was comforted. Joseph
