Yes. I looked at the entire list.

I didn't like any of the others either. I like to hedge my positions and none of the others offered very good equity option opportunities. BK is the only one that appealed to me on a 10-year horizon. Between the dividend payouts, writing leap options, and capital gains I figured I could make it work.

However, I still need to do a bit more homework.

David, RLI from your list looks decent to me at current price. P/e of 12 with generally rising book value and dividend increasing each year. Management says they run the business for the long term, and they currently see plenty of opportunities. Earnings report this quarter shows gains, and that seems a positive to me, given how so many other companies are reporting losses. I notice a number of value mutual funds apparently holding RLI.

Not a great value at current price. Imo, more like Mr. Buffett's statement of a good business that can be purchased at a fair price.

Stock is near annual lows. And low enough for me to take an exploratory position.
