You are most welcome IGIT

now, the verse before the one referenced, namely verse 2:190 says, "fight in the cause of Allah whomever fights you, and do not be aggressors, for Allah does not love aggressors" ... then comes the verse you referenced, which is obviously a continuation... then comes verse (2:192) "and if they stopped, then Allah is forgiving and merciful"... again, keep in mind that the fighting is in response to verse (2:190) where Muslims are basically defending themselves... and the "where ever you find them" refers to, in my understanding, while there is a battle going on... is there a battle between America, Britain, and Muslims whereby America and Britain are the aggressors on the Muslims ?

on (9:5-8) of At-Tawbah... the reason behind this is surah is that the Muslims had a treaty with non-Muslims... then some of the non-Muslims broke the treaty... and verse (9:4) excludes the non-muslims who did not break the treaty from the remainder of the Surah... it says "except for those whom you had a treaty with of the non-believers and they did not break their treaty and did not align with your enemies, honor their treaty to its full term for Allah loves the pious " by the way, pious might not be the best word here...

then comes the verses you referenced... so, the background is, there is a treaty between Muslims and non-believers, some of the non-believers break the treaty, and some honor it... the verses are all in relation to the ones who broke the treaty for the one who have honored the treaty have been excluded right at the beginning and Allah swt ordered the Muslims to honor their treaty...

IGIT, you wanted to know what I think, and I did so by just reading the Quran... but you know what, I need to get a book on the explanations of the Holy Quran and the reasons behind verse...

as you see IGIT, in the verses that you referenced, it says that Muslims have to abide by any treaties they make... a visa application is a treaty between the requestor and the issuing government... violating it is not Islamic... it is just sad and unfortunate that the media is not addressing that with Muslim groups in America... we have to understand before we judge...

God Bless IGIT
