Erlich Paul and Anne's first book, The Population Bomb (published in 1968) was one of the main reasons I have become so involved in the human over-population issue. The Population Explosion is an update of their first book (1990). It is not at all difficult to read (I hate really scientific treatises - all the books I am recommending are written for the layperson). I love this book so much, I give copies to the schools at which I speak. That guy Erlich was debunked decades ago. She still hasn't gotten it and probably never will.
