Quite impossible to kill them all. The terrorists are like fungi. You can wipe enough of them out to give you the impression you have wiped them out. But the relatively few remaining ones are just like dormant and waiting for conditions to be right to make a comeback.

It may be cheaper and easier to

initiate and implement policies that delegitimize and/or neutralize their claims/cause.

BTW, the firestorm the Japanese experienced was an overkill and quite unnecessary. All the more so when, after all these years, it is realized that the Japanese was goaded into making the attack on Pearl Harbor so that Roosevelt could rally full support for the war against Japan. Many Asians nowadays LAUGH when Americans and other wise guys/ignoramuses refer to "Dec. 7th 1941" as the Day of Infamy or suggest they are "sneaky" folks because Pearl Harbor happened.

BTW, some mystics believe that in 1945 America had incurred negative Karma which will come to haunt America tellingly some day. Some envision a couple of suitcase nukes going off.

Well, most likely it will not happen as Karma is for mystics
only and mystics are merely dreamers and are never practical people.

<<more than 99% of this nation is 4 square behind our actions against these terrorist bastards!>>
Here's someone who isn't part of the 99%. How do you know when this man is saying something stupid?
His lips move:

NEW YORK — Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan
yesterday condemned the U.S.-led bombing of Afghanistan,
saying Washington had not proven its case against terrorist
mastermind Osama bin Laden..........

........Mr. Farrakhan, the leader of the nation's largest Muslim
group, said the pursuit of bin Laden and his terrorist group
was a campaign against Islam......

Mr. Farrakhan said, without citing his evidence, that 1.5
million Iraqis had died under sanctions imposed by the United
Nations after the 1991 Persian Gulf war "while we are crying
over 5,000."........

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, Lou. Please emigrate, I'll help you pack.
