Slavery in Kentucky was a twisted deal. Kentucky slaves seemed to have lived better and there were some areas of Kentucky where blacks lived free in their own communities. In 1833 Kentucky banned the importation of slaves and also had the underground railroad to get slaves to the free states.

Odd the CBF would have a star for a state that was fighting for the Union.
