Mark:

It all depends on the actions Gore would have taken. If Gore favored military action they I'd say more support since the right is supposed to be hawkish.

On your better question with Clinton I doubt it. Clinton had renegged on too many agreements for the right to take him @ his word. Lets face it never mind all the broken budget agreements where he made the Republicans the fool but look at how he lied to the american people on national TV. He played us all for the fool.

This is the type of event to put aside differences even if only temporary until crisis is past. All of our freedoms and lives are at stake. If not for the anthrax I'd say we would already have more conflicts within the house and senate. Its the nature of the beast. Our country is too diverse. Many different interests and what is right for one may not be right for the other. Its why we elect them, to represent our interests.

Lets face it even now we have not seen the american resolve tested. Wait till the body bags start or captured prisoners executed on CNN. It can and unfortunately in all likelyhood will happen. Its the type of opponent we have. Then we'll have to see Bush actions and ratings.
