"I know - it is an exaggeration, but one wonders how many Republicans stayed there." This is 2001, vs. the Reagan years. My question, is how many Republicans have stayed in California, because of the economy? Many of my close friends are still there, although they have not been able to buy the houses that their parents bought. They stay for the climate and the natural beauty, and many times, because they are employed there, but few of them are in the towns that they grew up in. Maybe we can all say that.......It is just a different era! To me, the climate can't be beat! It will always be my home!
