Fear makes people stupid, imo. Remember that great quote - and I paraphrase- those who would give up their liberty for security deserve NEITHER. But the problem is that the rest of us, who do desire liberty, and don't want to sell it out for security, will get sold down the river with the petrified little conservative lemmings. (Now I am generalizing, because I am sure there are a few conservatives who understand the value of freedom, and don't want to toss it out, and I am NOT talking about them. Free thinking conservatives are every bit as nice as free thinking liberals. And there are lemming liberals, but they generally have more respect for free speech, thank goodness.)
