does anyone here think that star office 6, based on the xml language, is a threat to msft office. i thought xml was an open platform?

Charles,

That's an old article (June of this year) and it was published before the author understood what he was talking about. Notice that his PC didn't actually shut him down.

The myth you refer to has long since been dismissed as false.
