Richard and Condor.. Richard and Candor..I see your point; please note on this page last 10 posts where references of sources have been disclosed. It is clearly highlighted that I have not written them, I am specifically asked by some of my friends not to mention as they some time send a copy to me at the same time when they are filing it. Now from the day when war started and I broke the news just 30 minutes before, now how I know that is through my friends, until now when was the last time you heard from me any thing that did not add up. From 13th of Sept I am writing about Delta Forces in the country now how can I tell you the source when people who has seen them landing on the airport on Chaklala on 13th did not want to be quoted.
I am no CNN or BBC, neither do I Spam therefore for my ‘little iffy thread’ the ‘weight of evidence’ is rather limited in my little mind, some time we are carried away with our own drift too but rarely I do that. If with some ambiguity we can tell the world what is happening and add our analysis to it that is time well spent, by the way the length of my posts the one I write over last five years have been expansive and I try my best to be as original as possible, news sourcing is not originality and for me that element of doubt should remain in a readers mind until proven otherwise.
Last few days I have written 10,000 words now for a active person like me on those 10,000 words I got a response of 100 words or even less, I can see the significance of my writing is just not around, quoting or writing is for me irrelevant, this thread ends up every time I contribute as only my thread talking to my own self and that is what I do in my mind talk to myself and let my kids now what’s happening, in absence of genuine input from others in my mind I am under no moral obligation and therefore have never given too much importance to issues that you are very carefully and caringly highlighting. Put yourself in my shoes and you will see that I make some sense I come in the morning or evening find no response to any of my posts but have to keep my ‘hobby’ going, write few posts to my own self, people even make some light pun on that, and move on, now where do I have the incentive or obligation to make it a CNN like reporting effort, already I am far too open and sharing beyond anyone else on SI and more importantly I have a track record of no –non-sense and I feel in my heart that those who read me believe me.
Try doing what I do and you will realize that running a small little thread in limited time even with best of my intentions and my own emotional feelings is not easy, some time I get carried away others I am more serious, but I am never economical with truth neither do I exaggerate, I have this huge problem in me that am always looking things from a brighter perspective, when all hell breaks loose I am looking at things that will change to better that is my spin and I know that. Life is so miserable without colour, that the least thing I want is to add more gloom, live with hope and you live near God with peace, God loves laughter and peace. I think that is what this small little place is all about ‘Idea thread’ trust, and hope anything beyond that is far too much for any one of the mortals here to carry.
I hope one thing that you did not highlight that all those URL’s will still not add to news I produce here. I do post them far ahead of anyone else on these URL’s, now how can I tell you about SSG brigades in Cheerat or SSG intelligence helping the US from day one or the next base that is going to be established inside Afghanistan near Kandhar, I talk a lot to lot of People find reasons for every action think and get information, I will continue to post and will continue to divulge my sources like have done as below.
I do anything else, when I know the story is right I go ahead to post in real-time, from start of invasion to Dalbandin I was given many of these information by my friends who are in the 'news profession' but have been asked not to reveal them, wherever I get a telephone message on e-mail or any other source like military or Dawn or diplomatic I do it, I will keep trying my best to make it very credible but I don’t want it to become dbeka or drudge.com of Afghan war this is for friends like you all, in my humble opinion over last five years I have established enough rapport to tell you few things that may later appear, I concur with you that URL’s will be great, but some time I don’t have them but please note last ten messages in every message the source is known…
<The United States will provide Pakistan $673 million cash grant in return for tactical support against terrorism, announced Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz at a press conference here on Saturday. With as many as 2,000 United States military personnel using the airports of Jacobabad and Pasni as logistical airbases and the airport of Dalbandin as forward operational base, the current US military presence in Pakistan has been described as the biggest since the two countries wedded their security ties in the late fifties, military sources said.

US special forces attack targets near Kandahar. Airfield, Omar's residence hit; According to PAKISTAN ARMY 'Humanitarian missions' on helicopters continue from Dalbandin,Pakistan. An airport just 100 KM from Afghanistan, it has been handed over to US forces last week.
"Attention. People of Afghanistan, United States forces will be moving through your area," one message said, adding that the United States wished no harm on ordinary Afghans. "Please, for your own safety, stay off bridges and roadways, and do not interfere with our troops or military operations," said another. The United States deployed four slow-moving EC-130E "Commando Solo" psychological operations aircraft, broadcasting in local Afghan dialects the message that Afghans could expect to see US troops on the ground. "Things are moving very very fast, at hundred miles an hour." Taliban Foreign Minister Wakeel Ahmad Mutawakil and Frontier Regions Minister Maulvi Jalaluddin Haqqani returned to Afghanistan after discussing in Islamabad the formula of a broad-based government in Kabul that would exclude their supreme leader Mulla Mohammad Omar, knowledgeable sources confirmed to Dawn. They said that Mutawakil, who crossed over into Pakistan via Miramshah, headquarters of FATA's North Waziristan Agency, from Khost province early this week, was taken straight to Islamabad. Maulvi Haqqani, a former Mujahideen commander hailing from Khost had facilitated Mutawakil's visit, but he himself had entered Kurram Agency via Spina Shaga. He, too, was taken to Islamabad for consultations. Indicating major political changes in Afghanistan in the next few days, the source remarked: "Things are moving very very fast, at hundred miles an hour." Sources also said that the so-called moderate section in the Taliban, including Mutawakil, had been able to prevail and impress upon Mulla Omar to find ways to bring an end to the US bombing and save their country from further destruction. They said that Mutawakil had come with the consent of Mulla Omar and has now gone back. Mutawakil went to Kandahar while Maulvi Haqqani to Paktia, they added. Mutawakil, sources said, had brought the formula of a broad-based representative government in Afghanistan that would exclude the hard-liners, including Mulla Omar. At a joint news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Colin Powell and President Gen Pervez Musharraf did not rule out the possibility of giving representation to the moderate faction of the Taliban in the future dispensation. Islamabad has officially denied Mutawakil's visit. According to these sources, the "moderates" in the Taliban who have expressed their willingness to join the bandwagon against Mulla Omar included two cabinet ministers and the all powerful head of one of the Afghan zones whose switch-over could prove decisive in pulling the rug from under the feet of Mulla Omar and his supporters. The hard-liners spearheaded by Mulla Omar include Justice Minister Mulla Nooruddin Turabi, Intelligence Chief Qari Hamdullah, Defence Minister Mulla Ubaidullah, the governor of Heart and head of the western zone, Mulla Khairullah Khairkhwa; Kandahar Governor Mulla Mohammad Hassan and Mulla Dadullah, commander of the 4th Corps in Kabul. Sources said that efforts were now being made by some Ulema, scholars and tribal notables to persuade Mulla Omar to step down and surrender Osama bin Laden in a last ditch effort to salvage the situation and seek a peaceful transition to a more representative government. Mutawakil's visit to Islamabad coincided with the arrival of a delegation sent by former king Zahir Shah, led by his former foreign minister Hedayat Amin Arsala. The delegation has been lodged at the Frontier House in Islamabad. Saleem Shahid adds from Quetta: Taliban Foreign Minister Abdul Wakeel Mutawakil passed through Quetta and Chaman on his way to Kandahar on Wednesday night after what is believed important meetings in Islamabad. Border officials of both Pakistan and Afghanistan at the check post informed this correspondent on Thursday that Mutawakil had passed on Wednesday night. Taliban's ambassador to Pakistan Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef is in Kandahar for about a week and is reported to have carried some important message from Islamabad to his government. Reports suggest that a small but effective group of moderates among the Taliban in Kandahar is mounting pressure on Mulla Omar and others to take some steps to save people from the US bombing. However, Mulla Omar and most of the commanders are disagreeing with the moderates. Sources said that Mulla Zaeef is expected to arrive in Quetta some time on Thursday night. >
I see your points and have tried my best to provide the source within the text where I don't write the message as you may noticed above. best regards.. |
