Sounds thoughtful on the surface but what does he propose we do to drive a wedge between bin Laden and his supporters? Hire Madison Avenue? The Muslim world is in a thoroughly paranoid state of mind and all our actions are being interpreted as attacks upon them. That being the case, we should stop trying to be liked for a while and concentrate on being respected. They have a great respect for force and resolution in that part of the world and we have been sadly lacking in it for the past ten years.
