What would it be like to look out a window in a building with 6 foot thick walls? (If you haven't lived in New Mexico you probably have never lived in a building with 4 to 6 foot thick walls.)

The Scottish Island of Tiree has ordinary occupation buildings with walls approximately 12 feet thick. One six foot thick stone wall, a barrier of sand, then another six foot thick stone wall. They look odd with the tiny roof in the middle.

It's just to keep the weather outside -g- (Tiree is a low lying island much exposed in the Hebrian sea)
