It isn't sexist to put tough tests in place to make sure that people are physically capable of being a good fire fighter even if it means that few women can pass.

I agree with that. I don't think appropriate standards should be lowered, either. A man can express that notion in a simple, reasonable statement, as you did, or he can wrap it in an attitude the conveys misogyny. It was the attitude to which I was reacting.
