Jeff, from what I've read, it would directly emit CO2, and not much else. So, would be like breathing.
On the other hand, indirect/prior emissions would come from the initial oil refining process.
One benefit of using gasoline vs stored hydrogen or even rechargeable batteries, would be the infrastructure is in use, in place.
Additional fuel cell benefits are quieter vehicles, increased mpg (vs present autos),and AWD through electrically driven wheels.
Usage in homes and at industrial sites to generate power would have further advantages.
