This is a hoax, as reported on many hoax sites. I think a good policy would be NOT to pass these things on to anyone.

Any email warnings that start with "I used to date a...."or "I overheard ...."or "please don't shop at malls on Halloween" etc.

If the first person that received the email would read it closely, they wouldn't pass it on.
