The West is heavily dependent on it. But the economies of the Gulf depend on oil dollars. We can twist that screw too

Especially when one strategy may be putting the mid-east governments on notice that economic sanctions will follow should they not do their part to fight muslim extremism.

We've obtained commitments from Putin to boost supplies in the case of an embargo by the Arabs. At the very least, that has caused some major recalculation on the part of the Arab oil producers.

I heard someone say a couple of days ago that the east-west is over, and not we're in a "north-south" conflict...
