Tommaso, IMHO the recent taw in US / Russia relation will improve the economic picture in Russia which will drag Eastern Europe and the rest higher. As a result the Euro will gain.

Aside from Eastern Europe Germany will gain the most as their loans to Russia will have a good chance to be paid and will enjoy lower more stable energy prices due to the development of new oil fields and new crude oil pipelines into Europe.
