and expect to be welcomed? I really wasn't trying to be welcomed. I just felt like replying to that message without the hassle of copy and pasting all of it here. Then before I was done finalizing (you know how sometimes you catch grammatical errors or other types after actually reading it clearly in print...), he must have read my thoughts and instantly labeled me as the enemy without the slightest consideration that I might be right. It's like, "Get that idea out of here before anyone on here considers it!" "Ban him immediately." Anyhow, it's no big deal. Like I said, I try to avoid those places. And the ad hominem attacks don't seem like you at all. I never called Polvie a queer so I'm not sure what you are tawkin 'bout. Jus kiddin'. I looked it up. ad hom·i·nem (hom'?-nem', -n?m) adj. Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason: Debaters should avoid ad hominem arguments that question their opponents' motives. I wasn't questioning Polvie's motives. I know where his heart is. I've been trying to be more like him. Learnt moor from him than any dude on these message boards. -ng I was just pushing him to teach me more. He doesn't do it unless I push him. Why on earth would you apologize for posting a political rant here on your own "home" thread And then go to a thread which you don't frequent, post a conservative rant there, and expect to be welcomed? You can label it that way if you want but my reply wasn't really all that conservative. I'm not sure it was compassionately conservative either. Certainly not right wing, left wing, anarchist, or any other type of political label. Just one dude, copying and linking his thoughts to a post that made him think. Like I said, a place that doesn't allow that isn't my sort of place and those people aren't my sort of people. I don't think I pointed you out in it so I hope you don't take offense. I'm certain that you are not narrow minded. I don't begrudge any group of people forming a place to talk things through. Me neither. I just was annoyed I didn't get to fix my sentence. I sometimes get a bit anal about that and can't leave an error unfixed. Peace. -Clappy
