Why would you bother to ask? He did not say where in Asia or When he went.

He delivered one of his typical mean-nothing lines which depend on mis-interpretation to creat concern.

Paul's last documented trip to Asia(of which I am aware) was the one cited in Inside Intel.

I would not have expected Paul to see any IBM PCs using AMD at that time.(But even if he had, in my opinion, he'd lie about it.)

Note that in answer to: "Of course, you know that IBM is still using AMD in computers sold in Asia... " Paul does not answer that he thinks not -- then cite time, date and place of research, or admit that he does know IBM is still selling AMD in Asia(In my mind much more likely) -- he just fuds off.
