Not a smart idea? By who's reckoning? Well let's see...on the one hand you have peace, autonomous rule, a Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem, economic development, a 'New Middle East'...and on the other, a guerilla war fought with pictures of dead kids, a new generation raised on hatred and martyrdom, suicide bombers, Israeli sieges, poverty, rule by extortion & terrorist warlords, Israeli incursions. Not a smart idea by the reckoning of any sane person.
