Israel goads the Palestinians to rebel so they can kill them and make themselves look good in the international media May I remind you, the Israelis were making a serious offer when the intifada started. Arafat refused to negotiate at all. This is not just Israeli opinion; have you listened to President Clinton or Dennis Ross lately? It's the Palestinians who used the intifada to make themselves "look good" in the international media. CNN blathers about the "cycle of violence" and lists the body count. The BBC illustrates every story out of Israel with a rock-throwing kid and an Israeli tank -- even the story is a gun battle between the Tanzim militia and the IDF or a bombing. And as for Al Jazeera, it's one running photo op of innocent Palestinians shot for no reason at all by malevolent Israelis, with the occasional mention of successful "martyrdom operations", aka suicide bombings.
