The problem that many PC enthusiasts have is not realizing that they represent an ever-shrinking minority of PC owners.

Well I guess time will tell, I certainly hope sales of XP machines are strong, it will be a positive for the market in general.

I will say I don't consider myself a PC enthusiast - the only time I ever opened my computer was to pop in some RAM. It didn't take much longer than it would to change the batteries on a radio, and it was certainly more cost effective than buying a new PC.

Many people know geeks who do the upgrades. Folks like Best Buy also do installations.
