These are standard fighting words used by all peopled all over this planet. Who was responsible for the statement "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country"? No, I did not express myself well. I'm speaking mostly to the VP's comment: "They have nothing to defend," he said. "You know, for 50 years we deterred the Soviets by threatening the utter destruction of the Soviet Union. What does bin Laden value? which I find very disturbing. And in addition, The notion of deterrence doesn't really apply here There's no treaty to be negotiated, there's no arms control agreement that's going to guarantee our safety and security. a complete dead end.
