Elmer - I don't think anybody on the AMD Feel Good thread has discussed this, but I calculated that AMD's AThWiper and DooWrong ASPs for Q3 2001 were all the way down to $60.78 !!!

Wow - those used to be K6 numbers.

ASPs of $60.78....demand must be really strong !

AMD lost $97.4 Million on operations, and claimed FLASH was break-even or profitable.

Thus, AMD lost (97.4 million/7.7 million) = $12.65/CPU - which brings their COST of the AthWiper/DooWrong to be about $73.43/CPU.

AMD - the LOW COST CPU manufacturer !!
