I don't believe I've seen that story, can you post it or a URL?

www4.cnn.com

the tailwind story was released as a CNN special show (i recall it being a one hour special). they held several interviews with well known, highly decorated Special Forces veterans famous for their operations in laos and north viet nam...CNN then manipulated, scrambled questions and answers, and dragged these guys' interviews through a mudhole of total fabrications and outright lies.

the Special Forces Assn immediately took issue with the story and pointed out to CNN that it was totally wrong. SFA demanded that CNN issue an equal time retraction....this was never done...to my knowledge the only retraction was a terse statement issued to the written media well after the airing of this total garbage piece. peter arnett's firing was handled similarly about 6 months later.
