No, I'm inclined to make sure we don't make a lot of mistakes along the way. International aid organizations are saying that our bombings don't seem to be very effective. We are hitting food-relief storage facilities, homes 1-2 kilometers from 'targets' and apparently, military junk hardware, left over from the Soviet adventures there. Where is the evidence that any torture of these people will PREVENT thousands of deaths?

Bland said this (which is what I was responding to): ": I absolutely believe we need do whatever is necessary, take whatever steps are necessary, to make these people talk. " What if YOU were one of THESE people and you said you knew nothing. The difference between US and THEM is we DON'T do that, and they do. I'm on record saying that to do this to the right people doesn't worry me because I know it CAN work. There is no arguing the effectiveness of torture.
