The wisdom of our constitution drove him from office. The amendment which established presidential term limits was passed to prevent a charismatic criminal like William the Bastard from seizing the office for more than 8 years. The tawdry attempt by his henchmen to steal the election for his chosen successor was quashed, and the nation saved from the Clinton/Gore Nazis until the political tide was able to turn on September 11.
