Hi Jim

I commend you for being willing to test the truth of your understanding, but I think you are just chasing a bubble when you try to use "personal experience" as your only criteria for doing so. I don't know Adi Da, but There are many false prophets, and none of them claim to be false prophets. Satan himself, appears as an "angel(messenger) of light."

"True religion is not a matter of the mind. It is a matter of the Heart."

True religion is a matter of truth, not feeling. All Truth can't be reached by reason alone, it requires revelation, but that Truth is not divorced from reason. I compare every teacher and teaching with the bible. If what is taught doesn't mach up with that then I know something is not right.

Islam tries to claim the bible, but then says that it was altered. Mohamad seemed to accept the bible of his day as being accurate. Since we have copies the predate that acceptance, I can't see how it was supposed to be changed later. Mohamad and Islam are opposed to what the bible says about Jesus, as the Son of GOD. Both could conceivably be wrong, but both can't be right.

Who is Adi Da, and what does he say about Jesus? Does he contradict Him when he says; "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me."? Did Adi Da, die and rise again from the dead that we should believe him as opposed to Jesus? I look forward to hearing from you.

Greg

James,

I have previously stated to this thread that I feel there is not one true religion. I do believe their is one true belief, however.

How I came to that conclusion, studying about ten years of major religions and beliefs. I came to believe in one through my studies. But I still study others, as you can see from my previous posts.

I started my studies to find out the one true belief system. Because I always believed in one absolute truth! But now my studies have shifted purpose. I now am open minded to be educated in all religions and beliefs. Not to be convinced what I should believe in, (because I know what I believe is true) but to understand others and be able to enter religion and belief conversations, knowing something about most of them and be able to have educated converstaions about them.

I was born into the Jewish religion, but decided for a couple of reasons (one, as a result of a college professor and another because my wife is of another religion) that I needed to validate my religion. It is given to you when you are born, as my professor stated, but you should validate it as true some time in your life, so it does not become a blind faith type of thing you are following.

Also, like I said, my wife belongs to a different religion, and it became an issue of what we would do with our children. And my children, should be taught something I truly know about and believe in, not be taught something I, or my wife, follow by blind faith.

So, as I previously stated, I know now there is no true religion out there. But I believe there is a true belief system. And it is not what my wife or I was born into. It was neither. Both failed the validity check.

I am now a Christian...

I have a relationship with God that is the most ultimate fulfillment any one person could have. Believe me, it changed my life, and my families lives. It fulfilled my every desire. It has no boundaries as far who can be accepted and who could not. Anyone could be a Christian. I worship with people from all around the world, with different upbringings, nationalities and even religions. And believe me, I am scientific and logical! My profession calls for it. And Christianity passes all the tests!

I do admit, I know nothing about your belief. But I do know about mine. It's source is the bible, and it passes every scientific, historical and logical test one could give it. But that's what necessarily makes it so wonderful. It's the relationship one has with God once someone truly believes in it, that is the ultimate validation of it. The bible just offers perfect instruction on how to live your life, according to God's will! And it also provides you a better life in this world, and the life that is to come once we leave this one!

Hope that answered your questions!

God Bless,
IGIT
