One thing that could be said for the Taliban.... ....things have not gone very well for them since they blew up those beautiful world treasures of Siddartha, the Staues of Buddha ...they made no converts to Islam there.<g> They didn't hurt Buddhism by those actions, only themselves , and belittled their own faith. There is a difference between the states of frenzy and a fascist control and mindless hatred in the name of God , and willful terrorism & killing....and true self enlightenment and the enlightenment of others . Mohammed tried to become a man of peace towards the end of the resisitence of the Meccans , after he made war and had to become the warrior and ordered the deaths of so many ... but he set in motion a cycle of violence thru his ---->actions , that has never ended . Because he could not convert by any other means ? Very sad , and no pretty perfumed embroidered pages, or finely decorated Mosques can ever erase the depth of the wrongness those sins. Not even in the name of God are those actions ever forgotten , they will always haunt and dog Islam till it changes . Mohammed was in fact----> a murderer ...( that is Truth ) So.... " Funny , but the perfect "man" & truly faithful worshipper of God that Islam , Judaism or Christianity would describe ....was Buddha . Buddha didn't need sacred icons like the Kaaba and holy lands to die for ....knowing God for Buddha and the holy promised land was always within the vast domain of the self . It is universal , for Buddha "Truth" is God . Yes things have not been going well for the Taliban since the destruction of the Buddha's statues . Sad for them they are so blind with hate .... It is a tragedy often repeated , instead of doing honor to the glory of Truth and sacred silences of God , they reveal only ignorance , destruction and terror is their true names , though never drinking the wine , yet even more intoxicated with violence, hatred and religious fascism . They will learn the hard way here & now ....the little game is over . Strange, is it not? that of the myriads who Before us pass'd the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the Road, Which to discover we must travel too. LXV The Revelations of Devout and Learn'd Who rose before us, and as Prophets burn'd, Are all but Stories, which, awoke from Sleep, They told their comrades, and to Sleep return'd.
