LearnCom Announces Record Sales for July & August BENSENVILLE, Ill., Sep 5, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Lloyd W. Singer President and CEO of LearnCom, Inc. (OTC BB: LRCM chart, msgs) reported unaudited July and August revenues of $578,000 and $694,000 respectively. This compares with revenues of $425,002 and $336,739 for the same months in 2000. Said Singer: "We're encouraged by these record sales numbers during the traditionally soft summer months. Sales were buoyed by the acquisition of exclusive rights to the Provant/AMI distributor business. While many of our competitors in the training business are facing declining revenues in a very soft economy, we're encouraged that our acquisition strategy is both timely and providing handsome growth for our shareholders. We've hired the experienced Provant/AMI distributor channel sales team and plan to keep them in Des Moines, an excellent area for our kind of selling. We'll be relocating them to their own space in a few weeks. Our plan is to build the distributor team and create a separate direct selling operation in Des Moines for all LearnCom products. We're getting excellent consulting support as well from training industry/AMI veterans like John Dieseth and Todd McDonald. "We expect these record sales levels to continue in September and beyond. We also plan to deliver our first profitable quarter since going public in May, 2000." The AMI Master Distributorship includes 168 U.S. distributors and 75 international distributors operating in 100 countries. The network will also be selling additional LearnCom proprietary training resources including the best-selling BNA Communications titles on sexual harassment prevention, diversity and employment l LearnCom, Inc. Lloyd Singer, 630/227-1080 email: toolkit1@aol.com New York, New York, Jul 30, 2001 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- Lloyd W. Singer President and CEO of LearnCom, Inc. reported unaudited six months operating results. Revenues for the half year ending June 30, 2001 were $2,397,915 compared to $1,929,570 in the six months ending December 31, 2000 - an increase of 24%. Net loss for the current period ending June 30, 2001 was $806,212 compared to a loss of $1,116,560 for the prior period ending December 31, 2000 - a decrease of 41%. Said Singer: "As a result of our acquisition program we have been able to avoid the flat or down results being experienced by most other companies in our business. Tight economic conditions generally result in a slowdown of training expenditures, especially the larger contracts. Our consolidation and cost-reduction efforts are narrowing the losses as well. For example, in June, 2001, on revenues of just under $400,000, our operating loss narrowed to approximately $10,000 with a negative EBITDA of $6200. "We expect a significant pick-up in sales in the second half fueled by the robust run rate of our newly acquired Des Moines-based Distribution business." On June 30, LearnCom acquired the exclusive Master Distributorship for the AMI video, CD-ROM and book business from Provant, Inc. Said Singer: "We've revised our second half forecast upwards to $5 million in revenue and expect to report profitable operations as a result of the Provant licensing deal. The five salespeople that built this business are now LearnCom employees and functioning at full throttle. Computer system integration and fulfillment consolidation in our Bensenville, Illinois warehouse will be completed by the end of September."
