I've watched Hannan Ashwari since her days on Ted Koppel.
She has defended Palestinian terrorists from day one.
She's no different than any other terrorist.

"I sat at Hanan Ashwari's kitchen table with a few other journalists in the mid-90s as she told us that she could prove that she is a direct descendent of Jesus."

Thank you for contributing this! I knew this woman could not be legitimate. One of the most valuable classes I took in college was on propaganda, and whenever I heard Ashwari speak, I knew I was in the midst of a mountain of it. I am surprised that the American public is not more sensitive, too, to how the press can manipulate their impressions, for instance by sentimentalizing one side's losses versus simply tallying up the other's - a constant approach regarding the Palestinians and Israelis. Of course, we all know by now the press's effort to demonize the Serbs and make helpless refugees of the Kosovars during NATO's bombing of Yugoslavia. My thinking on this is that journalists' prime desire above all else is access to power, proximity to power, and so, invariably, their writing reflects the party line rather than the truth. I have to confess that I am outraged by the press constantly hauling out "the public's right to know" excuse for their desire to get closer to the action in Afghanistan, to expose more detail, to gain "the scoop" even if it poses a threat to the lives of our soldiers there and success of our military strategies. They didn't seem to care about our "right to know" about the growing terrorist threat before the collapse of the WTC, and were more than happy to spoonfeed us stories about shark attacks, celebrity sightings and sex scandals.

<...she could prove that she is a direct descendent of Jesus. >

I heard he was homosexual and didn't have any children. How can anyone claim to be a descendant [maybe they mean by way of memes rather than genes].

It seems odd for fanatical murderous people who claim to be Christians to kill homosexuals when their idol was homosexual and against murder and in favour of turning the other cheek. Isn't Jerry Falwell one of those wacko fundamentalists who blamed the WTC on people he didn't like in the USA? That's like blaming rape victims for being attacked. "It's her fault for wearing a short skirt! Heck, I'd do it myself...". Yes Jerry! Precisely.

God save us from wacko murderous religious fanatics. Actually, I prefer to depend on the police and SAS to do that. Incidentally, how come God always seems to be a guy, "our father", and all that? The priests and prophets always seem to be guys too and the prophets get the profits. Homosexuality seems to be a strong trait... hmmm....
