<< Why should I buy a new system now? >>

Amazing, you beat me too it. You "answered stupidly" at the same time I was predicting you would. Here's my answer again.
------------------------------------

You can answer stupidly by saying that 4 years is a long time, but the example applies to the people that are sitting on hundreds of millions of PCs that are 3 - 5 years old RIGHT NOW. The MSFT bears like to point out how many old PCs are still in use. That's good news for MSFT.
-----------------------------

Why do you think MSFT earnings are so solid when the rest of the tech world is crumbling? The very reasons I've been explaining. Wait till the next wave of PC buying begins. MSFT EPS will grow rapidly.

Mind you, I'm not saying we're anywhere near the next bull market. Only that MSFT should perform relatively well. Won't go down as much as the rest of the market, or, will go up more than the rest of the market. It's a solid business.
