It may have been hyperbole, but it was not humorous. Anyway, whether or not it is understandable that she wrote it, the editors had reason to regret letting it through as written.....

I warned Ann that she was too "hot", especially on tv. That was after she was disciplined by MSNBC for correctly stating that Pamela Harriman slept her way to the top, i.e., that Harriman was a whore. No-neck Harriman hadn't the talent or beauty of Clare Boothe Luce. Harriman was just a whore.

The problem was that Ann did this in response to the announcement of Harriman's death. That offended people, especially those who didn't know what Harriman was, other than the grande dame of the Dem party and Clinton's ambassadorette to France.

Ann comes from a family of lawyers who held no holds barred political discussions each mealtime. The problem is that she talks and writes as though the audience has her context. She has got to tone it down, including those dresses.

I found her suggestion that we use Christianity as a weapon of war obscene and shocking.

It will taint everything I read of her's from now on.
