Graham - Must be a coincidence, because trading on inside information simply doesn't happen. Everyone on Bay and Howe Street is lily white. Honest.

They just enjoy taking advantage of naive long term buy and hold investors. And why shouldn't they, it's a longstanding Canadian tradition to screw over the general populace that isn't inside the loop, right up there with the federal taxation system.

I've worked for three different brokerage firms in my day, as well as being an independent financial planner, so I know of which I speak. Only young children and fixed income oldtimers like Peter believe the financial services industry treats them fairly, and as long as they keep believing it, they'll keep getting their pockets picked. I feel sorry for them, but hey, they're not my problem.

Interesting that AET.UN short position rose to over 2.5 million shares earlier this month and dropped back down on
todays globe and mail report to 554,000 shs, coincidence?

--------- Did you even bother to check to see what the unit price has done during that period. NO. Since Oct 01 the unit price has risen from $10.49 to the Oct 17 price of $11.64. So in the time when all this shorting was done the price has gone up ( in the opposite direction ). Gee these shorters sure made quite the windfall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT. The drop in the number of shorts is simply a result of the squeeze the shorters found themselves in. ------

--------- I'll respond to a couple of Stans points.

"""""""They just enjoy taking advantage of naive long term buy and hold investors."""""""""""

--------- Sorry but the long term data for these offerings is quite clear. They have no impact on the long term accumulator of these trusts. Unless of course you or Stan can provide info (long term facts) to the contrary. Which you allways fail to provide. Even when asked. So if you can show it then please do. You of course won't. On the other hand for the traders these things are a nightmare.. ----------------------------

--------- Gee I sure don't feel like my pockets have been picked. I have been and am still getting several thousands of dollars a month in REAL income. What is it that the traders like Stan are getting? Well nothing because they are still waiting. Stan and the other traders and timers here have a much more pressing problem. THEIR MISSING THE BOAT and THEIR ENHANCED RETURNS ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND
