It is pathetic. What happened was that he said repeatedly that if someone were anti- union, that meant he had to be anti- cop or firefighter. Then someone would say that having problems with unions did not mean despising the rank- and- file, but questioning the economic efficiency of unions and the discretion of the leadership. Then he would say that being against unions meant being anti- cop or firefighter, etc. Then someone.......etc.etc.etc......
