TC - NTFS what does it mean?

Thank you for getting me straight on DDRam vs RDRAM. . .
I didn't think anything was faster than RDRAM.
The $79 for 256 MB included installation which makes it not really bad (IMO).

Thank you very much for your comments. . .

I'm going to try to investigate the Systemax Co. to find out more about them.
I will report back what I find.

Thanks again,
Joe

My Guesses:
NTFS = No Table File Structure ???
FAT32 = File Access Table 32 bit

tc,

I don't know if it is the ntfs that is the culprit behind your performance blues or not. But I was reading in an XP newsgroup that Partition Magic 7.0 allows reformatting back to Fat32 without loss of data. So you might be able to switch back, if you're brave.

Seems there was a caveat or two, so you better look before you leap. I don't own PM, I just read about this aspect of it.

Esteban

Systemax, Inc. (NYSE: SYX) Does make PC's BUT does not sell directly to the general public.
They sell to distributors. . . their two largest being Tiger and Global.

In this case, Tiger and Systemax got together and made a deal.
Tiger, in turn, made a deal with AsSeenOnTVPC for the TV commercial.
The 800 # you are given to order is really the distributor Tiger to take the order and sell it, etc.

Normally, you would never see the Systemax name on any computer. . . most brands sold by Tiger and Global are made by Systemax.

So, with this being the setup, what do you think of Systemax now?

Thank you,
Joe

thecow, you wrote:

May I ask why AMD and not a Pent. 3 or 4? Cost or something else?
