A couple of billion dollar law suits by survivors of the victims of hijackings would move security to a high priority.
Also, feds need to take over airport security, IMHO. No point in pointing the finger at anyone, we need to fix it ASAP.

FoxNews reported that in Israel and most European countries, airline/airport security is run by private companies, not the state.

Obviously, the guidelines should be set by the Feds. But it looks like the Dems - abetted by their usual media allies - are using fear and ignorance to drive their agenda, hoping that their bill will pass before there is time to think about the morass they will create.
