True, the headcounts at companies will be a big factor in this equation. I am just betting that on a net basis, there is a significant demand from consumer/business. Enough positives to stimulate semiconductor activity and we get some upgrades from key bearish semiconductor analysts. It should show up in DRAM prices first. I wonder if anyone knows of a good site for overnight memory prices (one of the key leading indictors considering new systems will have higher memory).

At this point, consumer buying could increase especially if there is less money being spent on other activities such as travel.

We should know how it goes in a month or so. Question for me is going to be whether to take profits while the stocks are moving up on anticipation of a pick up on PC demand or hold right into January. Will probably do both.
