i was in Milpitas over the weekend and the San Jose Mercury News showed real estate prices dipping in many parts of the Santa Clara County. on average they were down around 10 to 20 percent with Los Gatos showing a 20 to 40 percent decline.

there is no question that the real estate market like any other market will fluctuate.

sure -- the price of homes in San Anselmo can plummet -- BUT with 9 homes for sale it aint gonna happen soon. with a slow growth policy that is nearly a NO GROWTH policy i dont see it happening in any radical way.

now - in the silicon valley where the wealth is so closely tied to the tech sector and stock options are a big part of the compensation -- its a bit different.
