The "little men", who were honored as hero's during Hillary introduction, spoke with their boo's regarding who truly represents them.

Hillary Clinton and the Democrat party establishment represent wealthy lawyers, wealthy union leaders, wealthy environmental lobbyists, and wealthy limousine liberals. The rest of the little people, who are union members, are mocked by petulant leading Democrats like Hillary.

Just to show how utterly vacuous your thinking is regarding how union criticism equals disdain for every union member. Rush Limbaugh belongs to a union. In effect, he is a brother with you under the union banner! :)

All this union talk got me thinking though....would you support the military forming it's own union and getting the same benefits as say the teachers union? Or maybe the same benefits of a member of the AFL/CIO?

It would be really interesting to see a conservative Republican bring up legislation on the house floor proposing something like that. I would love to see liberal Democrats take on the issue, and argue against paying military members double and triple time while on deployments like they are now.

Too funny to think about....

Sorry. Doesn't work that way.

Sure it does. No one forces anyone to join the Marines....

Or to put it another way, union leadership doesn't tell the members what to do. The members tell union leadership what to do.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus too! LOL!!!

I hope you, JLA, and the rest of the hate-mongers sleep well tonight knowing that you have bashed 16 million honest Americans who work for a living (unlike many on this thread).

Unions suck!!

First of all flapjack, I am not a hate monger. Show some evidence that makes sense before throwing out such an idiotic allagation. The reason I am against unions is that they feed into the mindset that the worker can do nothing without them. That is one of those evil kind of lies that keep people oppressed. You even mention yourself that you are sticking up for "little man." Why do you view yourself and all union workers as "little men"? I certainly don't.

Long and the short of it is that you cannot say that someone has to like unions to support (and admire) our police, fire, postal, or any other union worker. I don't like unions and I GREATLY admire most of these people. It is offensive to have someone state that you are against these fine people because they do not feel the same way as you do about unions. The tactic that allows you to feel comfortable about doing that is what is and will continue to hurt the democratic party. If you think sticking up for the "little man" is slandering anyone who does not view unions the way you do I will say you are dead wrong. You are actually oppressing them a bit by your belief that they cannot make it in America without unions.
