otherwise good, conservative thinking, yet nonpolitical Americans. I added a comma after "good". The idea is there are many good people, both conservative and liberal in how they approach life that are not wrapped up in the day to day partisian political infighting who get swept in the backlash of rhetoric. Look at the abortion issue rhetoric. One side yells baby killer, the other side yells clinic bomber. FYI, I'm a registered Independant because I don't want to hitch my horse to any one wagon.
