Oh the doom and gloom will come soon enough. Don't bother to rush it.

I believe you have been watching far too many news clips of the Taliban dominance over ignoramus commonus (i.e. uneducated and not very smart fanatics).

I think you described the picture of a run down country.

As an example of sheer determination against all odds, I submit to you Israel. Surrounded by enemies determined to make it disappear, (and it will NOT happen), attacked by miscellaneous gangs of criminals on a daily basis... in spite of that, its economy thrives, making a garden out of the dessert.

The USA has at the very least equal ingenuity and determination, and a considerably larger capital base.

While it is true that there are problems that need to be addressed, the process that it will take to resolve them will be quite different to what you described. In present day terms, your picture does not even take place in basket case-banana republics of Latin America.

It will take far more than a few cowardly and criminal acts by a band of fanatical derelicts. True, they hit us because they had the element of surprise.

Now things have changed. The Chamberlain style policies that allowed common assassins such as Yasser Arafat call themselves "diplomats" is over. Life as a terrorist is numbered. The USA has the knowledge and technology to scour these animals out of their caves. It is a matter of time once they apply themselves to get them. Unfortunately, up to this point they have not, due to the policies described above. But NO MORE.

Your description is simply not feasible, if it were; this country would not exist in the first place.

SOROS, We, you and I, have a lot in common and thats no joke!!

I happen to agree too strongly, and the more I hear folks even mention BULL MARKET it actually makes me sad! Far too many people act as sheep following the hearders(wallstreet analysts and CNBC) right into the trap!

I thought we pretty much had all that stuff already.

"But now, I envision a time when we will actually see people jumping out of windows, old people dropping dead from heart failure, brokers and bankers getting beat up and shot, businesses in ruin, people in bread lines"

Did you watch the news last night?
