John, Thanks for the lookup. Could anything so simple be made more difficult and convoluted than that definition of Goodwill? It sounds like a 'Introduction to' book. Gave me a flashback to the '60s.

I'm inclined to think INTC should go ahead and take some quick write-offs (in their year end financials if not to their quarterly stockholder report). A lot of that stuff they bought was Internet Infrastructure and enabling technology companies that just isn't worth, today, what they paid for them. And I think Wall street knows it.
