Interest rates are getting really low -- unemployment is going to start to show up in the statistics. What we should be most concerned about this intersection. If the pace of layoffs subsides, we have a new bull. If unemployment snowballs -- we have the risk of a prolonged slowdown. The key will be the global economy. Of all places, look to China to cash in on this opportunity to show its stuff as a global economic engine.
