If you are a member of the APWU then you know a lot more about it than I do, that's for sure.

As for the anthrax - if it was me, I'd be wearing latex gloves and a mask to work. I bought a 3M N100 reuseable mask at Home Depot last month for less than $20. It's not perfect but it's good enough for removing lead paint.

Masks with the 100 designation remove 99.97% of particles larger than 0.3 microns, and anthrax is larger than that.

If I were sorting mail, wearing latex gloves and a P100 or N100 half mask and glasses, I'd feel safe. Even though I am a neurotic hypochondriac, and paranoid, I am not hysterical.:)
