markets NEVER do what they are expected to do. IF they did what the majority believed would happen, then the majority would be rich.

remember...always darkest before the dawn... and markets SHOULD go up before the economy says it is recovering. Data I follow says we were starting a recovery just prior to 9/11 so the attack probably delayed the recovery 3 to 6 months.

BTW, say you have a 5 GHz PC and a video camera. Could you run "face recognition software" to screen people that come to your front door? You would not open the door unless they were in your personal data base. IF they were with the cable company, for example, then the dsl link to the cable company in your home would compare the face to the worker picture the cable company says is scheduled to be at your house....Next Killer Application? (cute name given the context....) Anyone want to give me $5M for the idea and start a company? :)
