Brian,
I am not proposing this. I am reflecting on the possibility of another terrorist assault in the US that kills thousands. If at that time we know where bin laden is but cant reach him conventionally, but could destroy him nuclearly by bringing down a mountain on him, would that be any less moral that what we are now doing? I am fearful that we will have to face these questions. When does the answer to my question become yes--after thousands are killed here, or hundreds of thousands or millions?? In WW2 Truman said no to 100,000 US casualties and nuked cities. What if bin ladens mountain had little population other than the scumbags who serve him. MIke
