Everyone, even the union elites, concedes that the MN state employees lost more money than they gained by going on strike for 3 weeks. They demanded $140 million and the state threw them an $8 mil bone. $8 mil too much in my opinion.

I guess the question is how inevitable are the abuses, and how do they weigh against the benefits to the membership. I am not sure how to gauge those things....
